Corpus Christi
The Solemnity of Corpus Christi commemorates the institution of the Holy Eucharist, paralleling Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday) commemorating Our Lord’s institution of the Eucharist. This feast is celebrated on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday with a Sung Mass, Procession of the Blessed
Sacrament and culminating with Benediction.

The Procession
The Eucharistic Procession extends the celebration of the Mass: immediately after the Communion, the Sacred Host, consecrated during the Mass, is placed in the Monstrance, The celebrant robed in a Humeral Veil carries The Blessed Sacrament in Procession around the Church for the congregation to make public profession of faith and worship of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

The Benediction
Following The Procession, Benediction takes place at the High Altar.

The Colour of Corpus Christi
The Liturgical Colour of Corpus Christi is White. The colour of purity and innocence and is worn on the feast days of Our Lord.
